Summer Camp

Common Ground’s Summer Camp program begins on the first Monday after the Fairfax County Public Schools close for the summer and ends two days before the public schools start in the fall. Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with before-camp and after-camp care provided at no additional charge.

Preschool Camp offers arts and crafts, cooking, songs, field trips, science projects, outdoor games, stories, water play, nature walks, and picnics. Extra programs, including swimming lessons (for children ages four and up), are available for additional fees.

Camp for School-Age Children features hikes, cookouts, swimming, outdoor and indoor games, fishing, arts and crafts, visits to favorite playgrounds, and field trips to Fairfax County Parks, Wolf Trap, Smithsonian museums, Sugarloaf Mountain, and other sites. Extra programs, such as swimming lessons, are also offered for additional fees.
